Ecomad can provide a quote for retrofitting an existing home or insulating a brand new home.  

For retrofits, the quote involves an inspection of your roofspace and we will advise on the solutions available to you. There generally isn't any need to remove any existing insulation as it's better to stay in your roof cavity than go to landfill.  The money spent on removing insulation can best be spent on making your home more sustainable.  Note that some cases may require removal of old insulation.  In many cases the existing insulation, even really old, could have some insulating value and will only add to the roof insulations overall performance.  

WHAT IS THE PRICE OF INSTALLING INSULATION?

The price will vary due to a number of factors.   The total area is different in each home, new or old, so the bigger the area, the more material is required and the longer it takes.  For new homes, installing ceiling insulation is more expensive than wall insulation but is cheaper than insulating an existing home.

For retrofits of existing homes, the installed cost will vary from house to house depending on accessibility and clearance within the roof space, obstacles, downlights and more. For a true indication of the final cost only an inspection of the roof cavity and quote will determine this.

And don't forget, insulation usually has a payback period of 5-6 years, and your household will experience greater comfort.

What products and services can be provided at the same time as ceiling insulation?

Ecomad provides a number of different products for existing homes, including the fitting of window and door seals, a home sustainability assessment or even a thermal assessment of your home. These additional energy saving and home comfort products can be quoted for at the same time as the ceiling insulation in most cases.
